Launched in late 2023 thanks to the company’s support, the project has equipped IRBLleida with MK360 technology. This advanced solution allows natural environments and forests to be recreated within the hospital itself. As it does not require individual headsets or goggles, it offers a hygienic, non-invasive alternative that encourages a shared experience rather than isolation.

Endorsed by the prestigious international scientific journals Cureus and Frontiers in Medicine, the study has evaluated the impact of this immersive technology by monitoring over 150 participants. In the main study, conducted with 131 professionals from the A&E department, including doctors, nurses, and healthcare assistants, the effect of 20-minute virtual reality sessions was compared against the usual break in the staff room.

Before and after each session, the participants’ vital signs were measured. The results confirm that, during the virtual immersion, systolic blood pressure dropped by an average of 3 to 4 mmHg, and heart rate decreased by around 3 beats per minute. This physiological relaxation was not consistently observed during traditional breaks (having a coffee or using a mobile phone). Furthermore, 25.4% of participants reported feeling better immediately after the virtual experience, validating this tool as a more effective recovery mechanism than routine downtime.

The new facilities, which will occupy an area of 2,661 m², will feature a main court divisible into three zones via retractable curtains. This setup will allow the simultaneous practice of disciplines such as basketball, handball, or futsal, in addition to new changing rooms and service areas distributed across two floors.

The works involve the construction of an overpass that will allow for two-way traffic, maintaining existing access routes and ensuring the necessary vertical clearance over the tracks. The project encompasses the main structure as well as all associated civil works, including earthworks, drainage systems, paving, and the installation of new signage.

The intervention, launched in 2023 with a budget of 6 million euros, has modernized the Palau de Vidre, transforming it into an efficient building adapted to current uses. Key improvements include structural reinforcement, the installation of double glazing and new window frames on all façades, as well as roof repairs incorporating photovoltaic panels.

The project also included a complete overhaul of the building’s systems, with more efficient air-conditioning, properly insulated water and air ducts, a new electrical system, and fiber-optic installation to digitalize the facility. An integrated Building Management System (BMS) has been implemented to monitor energy consumption, climate control, and lighting, combining efficiency with advanced control. All the lighting in the building — including that of the exhibition hall — has been replaced with LED fixtures.

With these improvements, the building has been modernized for new uses: the ground floor remains dedicated to fairs and sports activities, while the first floor now includes a 200-seat conference hall, offices, coworking spaces, and a hub for local organizations.

The renovation of the Palau de Vidre, carried out by Romero Polo, establishes the facility as a benchmark in sustainability and energy efficiency, while reinforcing its role as a social, cultural, and economic driver for the city of Lleida.

The company will be present at the 22nd edition of the fair at the stand of Ilnet, the joint venture formed by Romero Polo and Valoriza, which manages the municipal services in the city.

The stand will be located in Hall 3, number 314, where Ilnet aims to showcase the services the joint venture provides in Lleida, such as the street cleaning service, the collection and transport of different urban waste fractions, as well as other complementary services.

Ilnet’s presence at Municipalia also coincides with the celebration of its 20th anniversary.

The project was developed through several key phases. Firstly, the main construction work, which began in early March 2024, included the building of two separate units: one for welding and another for painting. The 10,000 m² structure was built entirely from precast concrete, including the façade, and features a deck-type roof.

In parallel, the tendering and execution of the plant’s electrical and climate control systems were carried out, as well as the office installations, which began at the end of August 2024. In the electrical scope, a total power of 2,500 A (1,558.84 kW) was installed, with 17,362 meters of electrical wiring. All lighting is LED with an intelligent management system, ensuring energy efficiency and centralized control.

A natural gas system with stainless steel piping has also been implemented for industrial heating, consisting of 30 radiant tubes of 48 kW each (1,440 kW in total), a system particularly suitable for industrial environments with high ceilings.

For air conditioning, a 63 kW Daikin VRV system was installed, complemented by two 50 kW DAHU units for air treatment, all centrally managed. Finally, a compressed air installation was carried out with stainless steel piping, equipped with two INGERSOLL RAND inverter compressors of 74 kW and 8 bar pressure, ensuring an efficient and constant supply for production.

These developments have endowed the complex with modern and efficient equipment, tailored to Ros Roca’s production and management needs.

The works include tasks related to the conservation, maintenance, improvement, and renovation of lighting installations, as well as other associated auxiliary systems. The contract also covers the management of periodic inspections, the prevention and repair of breakdowns, and the execution of scheduled interventions.

This project, with a budget of €1,912,324.63 and an execution period of 12 months, includes the construction of five outdoor yards and three auxiliary buildings — one main building (Building A) and two secondary buildings (Buildings B and C) — with built areas of 192 m², 156 m², and 70 m², respectively.

The facilities have been specifically designed according to the type of fauna they will house and will allow the temporary accommodation of animals from different species when they cannot remain in their usual enclosures.

With this project, the Barcelona Zoo advances in the modernization of its facilities. Romero Polo thus reaffirms its commitment to the construction of sustainable, responsible infrastructures with added value for society and the environment.

The project consists of a 12.3-meter-long, 10-meter-wide overpass, featuring two 3.5-meter lanes and a pedestrian walkway. The new structure is located 96 meters south of the former level crossing, above the railway line, and will provide safer access to the surroundings of the C-13 road.

With a budget of €980,000 (excluding VAT), the new overpass is part of a broader set of improvements that FGC is implementing to progressively eliminate level crossings throughout its network, with the aim of improving safety for both users and railway operations.
