ROMERO POLO ADVANCES IN DECARBONIZATION AND SUSTAINABLE INFRASTRUCTURE WITH THE REHABILITATION OF THE A-23
Romero Polo has carried out the comprehensive rehabilitation project of 7 kilometers of road surface on the Mudéjar Highway (A-23), along the section between Romanos (Zaragoza) and Ferreruela (Teruel provincial border). This intervention stands out for applying advanced construction criteria and highly sustainable techniques directly aimed at decarbonizing road transport and reducing the environmental impact of public infrastructure execution.
Among the technical innovations applied in the project, the reuse of milled material from the old pavement and the reduction of temperatures in the manufacturing of asphalt mixtures are particularly noteworthy. Thanks to these procedures, the project not only guarantees maximum road safety and route durability, but also fulfills strategic goals such as boosting the circular economy, improving the energy efficiency of industrial processes, and significantly reducing the carbon footprint. With the completion of these works, Romero Polo reaffirms its leadership in the civil engineering sector by developing green engineering solutions that build a more sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility model.
