ROMERO POLO, AWARDED FOR ITS WORK WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION OF DFACTORY BARCELONA BUILDING

Romero Polo has been awarded with the Albert Vilalta prize for the Best Infrastructure 2022, in the section of the Constructor awarded by the Advisory Council of Infrastructure of Catalonia for its work in the construction of the DFactory Barcelona building. The company executed the first phase of the works, having carried out the earthworks and the foundations of the construction. This building was created to become a hub for the creation of a system that promotes the development of the 4.0 economy, housing the most outstanding companies and technologies in this field.

The technical director of Romero Polo, Tania Bordes, collected the award, which was presented during the VII Infrastructure Night, which was also attended by Patricia Romero, CEO of Romero Polo, in her capacity as vice-president of the Board and due to Romero Polo’s position as a member of the Chamber of Contractors. Other personalities from the sector also attended, such as the Minister of Transport, Raquel Sánchez; the Councilor of the Department of Territory of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Juli Fernández; and the Councilor of the Barcelona City Council, Janet Sanz.

During the event, the importance of infrastructure management for the development of the country was discussed, together with its positive impact on improving the living conditions of citizens and its influence on business competitiveness.
