ROMERO POLO IS THE FIRST COMPANY TO ACQUIRE THE WIRTGEN WR240i COLD MILLING/STABILIZING MACHINE IN CATALONIA AND ARAGON

Romero Polo has acquired a new Wirtgen WR240i cold milling/stabilizing machine, becoming the only company with this equipment in Catalonia and Aragon. With this acquisition, Romero Polo is replacing the previous model, which has been in use since 2008. This acquisition has been financed by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility, and Urban Agenda, which has covered 40% of the total amount.

The WR series of this recycler/stabilizing offers a wide range of applications. The Wr240i is ideal for demanding jobs with special performance requirements. It has a working width of 2.4 m and a maximum depth of 510 mm, allowing the machine to deliver high performance for all its soil stabilization and cold recycling jobs. In addition, it achieves a homogeneous result due to its high milling and mixing performance and variable mixing chamber.

This new machine is powered by a six-cylinder Cummins QSX15 Diesel engine with 619 HP, weighs 30,600 kg in operation, and complies with EU stage V/OS Tier 4f emission standards. Its performance in soil stabilization ranges between 4,000 and 10,000 square meters per day. The performance for cold recycling application is between 500 and 1,000 square meters per hour.
