ROMERO POLO MAKES PROGRESS ON THE CEM LA MARINA PROJECT, WHICH RECEIVED A VISIT FROM THE MAYOR OF BARCELONA

The construction of the new CEM La Marina Municipal Sports Centre, being carried out by the joint venture formed by CERTIS and Romero Polo, received an official visit from the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni, as part of the presentation of the La Marina Neighbourhood Plan. This municipal initiative will decisively drive the urban, social and sporting transformation of the neighbourhood over the coming years, with the new sports centre being one of the central pillars of this strategic plan.

Construction of this facility, covering an area of nearly 7,000 square metres, continues to progress; a space that will be entirely dedicated to sport and the wellbeing of the public. The project, promoted by Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals (BIMSA) and designed by the firm AIA Barcelona, includes new swimming pools, fitness areas, rooms for group activities and communal spaces designed to become a community hub. This initiative represents a significant improvement for the neighbourhood’s well-being and reinforces the commitment to providing the city’s neighbourhoods with modern, accessible and high-quality public infrastructure.
