ROMERO POLO TAKES PART AS THE GOLD SPONSOR AT THE 52nd NATIONAL LIGHTING SYMPOSIUM IN LLEIDA

Romero Polo will participate as a Gold Sponsor at the 52nd National Lighting Symposium, to be held in Lleida on 20, 21 and 22 May. This event will make the city the national hub of the public lighting sector, bringing together professionals, public authorities and experts to analyse the future challenges of innovation, energy efficiency and urban sustainability. Through this involvement, the company reaffirms its commitment to the development of sustainable infrastructure and the modernisation of cities through smart solutions aimed at reducing CO² emissions.  

The holding of this symposium coincides with a key moment for the city, following the City Council’s award of the new contract for the renewal and maintenance of public lighting to the LleidaLlum joint venture, formed by Romero Polo and Edison Next, for the next twelve years. This project builds on the management carried out by the joint venture over the last decade, a period during which 24,711 light points were already replaced, generating significant energy and cost savings. The new phase of the service involves the replacement of 14,545 streetlights with LED technology, the installation of 200 multisensors, 25 solar-powered streetlights and a remote control system to optimise management and reduce light pollution.
