ROMERO POLO TO EXECUTE THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE CAN VINADER SPORTS HALL IN CASTELLDEFELS

Romero Polo has been awarded the contract for the execution of the Can Vinader Sports Hall – Phase I project, promoted by the Castelldefels City Council. The project combines the roofing of the existing outdoor courts and stands with the construction of a new indoor sports court, aiming to expand and modernize the municipal sports offer for year-round use.

This intervention stands out for the execution of a mixed concrete and steel structure, featuring ventilated facade cladding to ensure energy efficiency and durability.

The new facilities, which will occupy an area of 2,661 m², will feature a main court divisible into three zones via retractable curtains. This setup will allow the simultaneous practice of disciplines such as basketball, handball, or futsal, in addition to new changing rooms and service areas distributed across two floors.

With an execution period of 12 months, this project reinforces Romero Polo’s commitment to delivering high-quality sports infrastructure and highlights its expertise in projects that integrate new construction with the refurbishment of existing facilities.
