ROMERO POLO WILL BUILD THE NEW ANIMAL RESERVE AT THE BARCELONA ZOO

Romero Polo has been awarded the contract for the construction of a new animal reserve at the Barcelona Zoo. This is the company’s first project in this iconic space of the Catalan capital.

This project, with a budget of €1,912,324.63 and an execution period of 12 months, includes the construction of five outdoor yards and three auxiliary buildings — one main building (Building A) and two secondary buildings (Buildings B and C) — with built areas of 192 m², 156 m², and 70 m², respectively.

The facilities have been specifically designed according to the type of fauna they will house and will allow the temporary accommodation of animals from different species when they cannot remain in their usual enclosures.

With this project, the Barcelona Zoo advances in the modernization of its facilities. Romero Polo thus reaffirms its commitment to the construction of sustainable, responsible infrastructures with added value for society and the environment.
